Jammu and Kashmir: In a heartening development, tourists have begun to return to Pahalgam today, just three days after a deadly terrorist attack in Baisaran that claimed the lives of at least 26 tourists. The attack, which occurred on Tuesday, led to an immediate exodus of tourists, leaving the once-bustling town eerily quiet.
However, the spirit of resilience was palpable today as a group of tourists from Kerala arrived in Pahalgam, marking the first influx of visitors since the tragic incident. Their arrival is seen as a defiant response to the terrorists and their malicious intentions. Speaking to News24 reporter Aasif Suhaf, a female tourist who came to Pahalgam said, "Acha hai, thodha dar hai lekin phir bhi himmat karke...pata nahi kab aayenge."

"We condemn the attack in the strongest terms and demand stern action against those responsible for this heinous crime," said a local in Pahalgam. "We are happy to welcome tourists wholeheartedly back to Pahalgam."
The return of tourists marks a positive sign for Pahalgam's economy and reflects the resilience of both the locals and tourists in the face of adversity.
