There is good news for commuters in Uttar Pradesh, as a new link expressway from Etawah to Hardoi will be built. This Etawah-Hardoi link Expressway will connect Uttar Pradesh’s longest expressway, Ganga Expressway will be connected to Agra-Lucknow Expressway near Etawah. The route has been finalized for this link expressway which will run from Etawah to Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh.
How Will It Benefit Commuters?
A lot of focus has been given to infrastructure in the state. Uttar Pradesh has 15 expressways, and very soon the longest expressway will become operational. Now as per reports, the 584 long Ganga Expressway will be connected directly with 302 km long Agra-Lucknow Expressway. A new link expressway will be developed to connect these two expressways. Etawah, Kannauj, Mainpuri, Farrukhabad, Shahjahanpur and Hardoi. The new expressway will ease travel experience of commuters of Eastern and Western Uttar Pradesh.
The Hardoi-Etawah Link Expressway will be used by people traveling to Bundelkhand, as well as Shahjahanpur, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, and the districts along the Nepal border. Passengers traveling on the Agra and Ganga Expressways will also be able to use this link expressway to reach their destinations. With the construction of this expressway, local villagers will be benefitted directly from the bridges being built over the Gambhiri, Ramganga, and Ganga rivers.
More About The Expressway
Readycon India Limited has been selected as the project development consultant for the construction of Hardoi-Etawah Expressway. Chitrakoot Expressway will also be connected with Hardoi-Etawah Link Expressway.
Under the instructions of The Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), the district administration and the Special Land Acquisition Officer have written a letter to provide the revenue maps and records related to the revenue villages of Sawayajpur and Shahabad falling on route.
The six lane, Hardoi-Etawah expressway will be built at cost of Rs 6600 crore by UPEIDA. It will be 92 km long.
