A post on X at about 10.30 pm stated, “An encounter has begun in the Hadigam area of the Kulgam district,” according to the Kashmir Zone Police. They added that the CRPF, Army, and Kulgam Police are on the scene.

This is the second high-profile encounter between security forces and terrorists in Kashmir in the past couple of weeks. On December 22, terrorists ambushed an Indian army convoy in Poonch, killing 4 Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives for their country.

Because of the Indian Army’s bravery numerous terrorists have been eliminated as a result of recent clashes between militants and security forces in different districts of Jammu & Kashmir. Over forty terrorists have been slain in the Valley so far this year, according to police. The security and officials are working hard to ensure the public’s security and well-being.
