As Mahayuti eyes a landslide victory in Maharashtra, early rounds of counting show Eknath Shinde, Ajit Pawar, and Devendra Fadnavis dominating their respective seats with huge margins. In a major setback for MVA, Aaditya Thackeray is trailing from the Worli seat.
In Jharkhand, JMM-led INDIA bloc has taken considerable lead and is set for big win. CM Hemant Soren has maintained lead in Barhait seat.
Counting of votes for the Jharkhand and Maharashtra assembly polls is underway, with eyes set on the battle in key constituencies and among key candidates. A total of 528 candidates were in the fray in the second phase of the Jharkhand elections, including 55 women, one third-gender candidate, and 472 male candidates in Jharkhand Assembly Elections. NDA, JMM-led alliance, Mahayuti and MVA are hopeful of their victories.
In Maharashtra, the contest is between the Mahayuti and MVA. Mahayuti consists of BJP, NCP-Ajit Pawar, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena. While, Maha Vikas Aghadi commonly known as MVA, consists of Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress and the NCP-Sharad Pawar. The voting percentage in Maharashtra was recorded 65% which is the highest since the year 1995.
In Jharkhand the exit Polls suggested victory for BJP-led NDA. Here voting was held in two phases-first phase was on November 13 and second on November 20. The contest is between the INDIA bloc and the NDA. Voting percentage in Jharkhand came out to be 67.59 % in its last phase.
Key leaders in the fray include Chief Minister Eknath Shinde from Kopri—Pachpakhadi, who faces Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Kedar Prakash Dighe. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is contesting against Congress’ Prafulla Gudadhe from his stronghold, Nagpur South West. Meanwhile, NCP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar is vying to retain Baramati, a traditional stronghold of the Pawar family, against Yungendra Pawar of NCP (SP).
Prominent candidates in the fray in Jharkhand include Chief Minister Hemant Soren, his wife Kalpana Soren, and his sister-in-law Sita Soren from the JMM. Key BJP leaders in the second phase included former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi, Assembly Speaker Ravindra Nath Mahto (JMM), AJSU Party chief Sudesh Mahto, and Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri.

JMM Candidate Mahua Maji is trailing in Ranchi with BJP's Chandreshwar Prasad Singh leading by a massive margin of over 40,000 votes after 8 rounds of counting.
Shibu Soren’s daughter-in-law, Sita Soren is trailing against Congress's Irfan Ansari in Jamtara seat after 11 rounds of counting in Jharkhand.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has maintained lead in Barhait seat by more than 17347 votes against BJP’s Gamliyel Hembrom after 7 rounds of counting.
After 8 rounds of counting, Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Aditya Thackeray has taken lead in Worli against Shiv Sena’s Milind Deora by 2233 votes.
BJP candidate Geeta Koda is trailing in the Jaganathpur seat, while Congress's Sona Ram Sinku aims to retain the seat.
JD(U) candidate Saryu Roy has taken a considerable lead in Jamshedpur West against Congress’s Banna Gupta.

Former Jharkhand CM and BJP candidate Champai Soren is leading in Seraikela seat by a margin of more than 18000 votes. He has retained the seat since 1991, except in the year 2000.
Maharashtra Deputy CM and NCP candidate Ajit Pawar dominates Baramati seat, leads by 21349 votes.
