As Mahayuti heads towards a landslide victory, Shiv Sena spokesperson Sheetal Mhtare said that Mahayuti leaders will decide who will be the chief minister. She added, “We think Eknath Shinde should remain the chief minister."

After the first round of counting of votes in Mumbai's Vandre (Bandra) - East constituency, Shiv Sena (UBT)'s Varun Sardesai takes the lead against MLA Zeeshan Siddique of NCP (Ajit Pawar). Sardesai has 2791 votes, while Zeeshan Siddique has gained 2129 votes and Trupti Sawant of MNS has secured 1499 votes so far.
Maha Vikas Aghadi takes the lead in 11 seats while Mahayuti leads in 8 seats.
