New Delhi: Maharashtra Chief Minister Ekanth Shinde on Monday praised Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar saying that “anyone” can think whatever they want.
“He is an experienced leader. His comments are important… Now, anyone can think and understand what they want,” said the CM on being asked about the statement that Sharad Pawar made.
Earlier on Sunday, the NCP chief raised eyebrows with his statement — “Today… we are with a part of Maha Vikas Aghadi, and there is a willingness to work together. But desire alone is not always enough.”
Pawar continued to say that there are no discussions yet over the allotment of seats and any problems related to it. “So how can I tell you about this?” asked Pawar.
As political experts suggested the alliance of Conrgess, NCP and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) — Maha Vikas Agadhi (MVA) is in jeopardy just a few months ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Agadhi will remain the same: Shiv Sena (UBT)
Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena leader of Uddhav Thackeray faction, Sanjay Raut claimed that the allinace will remain the same and will also fight the 2024 Lok Sabha polls altogether. He said the prominent leaders of the “Agadhi” is Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar and Rahul Gandhi “at that time”.
He emphasised that the role of Sharad Pawar would continue in future like it has always been.
Congress’ Role is to connect anti-BJP Parties
Congress chief of Maharashtra unit Nana Patole also commented on Sharad Pawar’s statement to clarify the stand of the grand-old party. He said, “The role of Congress is to make sure that the anti-BJP parties fight together. The role of other parties in (MVA) alliance may be different.”
“We will move forward with those who will stay with us. We are not asking what is on anyone’s mind,” he added.
