After being molded from a state to a union territory in 2019, Jammu and Kashmir witnessed its biggest historic change post-independence. The abrogation of Article 370 changed its political structure on August 5, 2019, and brought a geographical restructure too with the segregation of Ladakh as a separate union territory.
