Earthquake Of 6.4 Magnitude Jolts Nepal, Tremors Felt In Delhi-NCR

Northern India felt strong tremors on Friday night with the epicentre of the earthquake in Nepal. Residents ran out of homes.

An earthquake of 6.4 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Nepal on Friday with intense tremors felt across northern India including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar. These latest tremors were the third in the series of earthquakes that residents of Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, and Faridabad felt since October.

Though no injuries or damages have been reported so far, shocked residents of Nepal ran out of their homes and recalled the horrifying experience of 2015 when they suffered huge losses of lives and property.

 

People living in neighboring districts of Maharajgang, Gorakhpur, and Champaran also left their homes.
The National Centre for Seismology reported its occurrence at 23:32:54 IST with a depth of 10 kilometers at the epicenter.
