New Delhi: External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar Wednesday listed a number of achievements that the nation got under 9 years of tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi leadership.
The EAM started with saying that the very achievement of the PM Modi’s tenure is that the nation played effectively on the global satge depite the obstacles like Covid and Ukraine war.
“The first achievement, I think, has been our ability to play effectively on gobal stage. And on the global place with the big powers. In these 9 years, we have had 2.5 years to Covid, we have had about a year and half to Ukraine war along with variety of economic challenges.”
He added, “my sense is that we have actually managed to do that quite well. We managed to do that keeping in my all turbulence that I spoke about but also keeping in my that today it’s a very polarised world.”
Adding further, the EAM pointed out, “…and the global stage is so much more challenging… Our relations with the United States are exceptionally well. We have had the most productive visit in history…”

“…We have moved into a positive domain with the US for shaping the world for common purposes. The attention being given to Europe is remarkable…big issue before us is concluding the free trade agreement.
S Jaishankar expressed confidence on India’s approach. He said, “But all I can say is that we are much more hopeful than we even been in the past.”
