The counting of votes for DUSU election 2024 has been concluded. DUSU President post has been bagged by NSUI’s Rounak Khatri. Rounak defeted ABVP’s Rishabh Chaudhary. Apart from the ABVP’s Bhanu Pratap Singh has bagged the post of Vice President.
Delhi University Students Union Election Result 2024 has been announced and in this election both NSUI and ABVP have won two posts each. ABVP’s Mitravinda Karanwal has won the post of secretary of DUSU. On the other end NSUI’s Lokesh Chaudhary won the post on Joint secretary.
Rounak Khatri stated that, “History has been created today. History has been changed – all because of our work. Show-off and arrogance have been defeated. As a student of the Law Faculty, I assure all the students that I’ll stand by them as they have made me victorious. Infrastructure and staff behaviour towards the student will be the top priority.”

NSUI National President Varun Choudhary said that, “We have won the DUSU president election after 7 years and have also won the joint secretary’s election.”

He further said that, “We thank the students of DU who stand with the constitution.”
As per media reports, in the initial rounds presidential candidate of NSUI was leading but after the five rounds Rounak Khatri got the lead.
Earlier the date for result announcement was September 28, but it got delayed due order from Delhi High Court. The result declaration was on hold until defacement which occurred during election campaign gets cleaned.
Total 21 candidates were in for four central panel posts which include 8 for the post of president, 5 for the post of vice-president, four for the post of secretary and four for the post of joint secretary.
The major players in this race were- ABVP, National Students Union of India, All India Students Association and Students Federation of India.
