Message of ‘Hanuman’
Actor Vindu Dara, who played Hanuman in the epic portrayal of Ramanan Sagar’s Ramayan, delivered an important message on the occasion of Ram Leela. He told journalists, “My message is that Prime Minister Modi has said ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’.” He further emphasised that India is united and is moving in the right direction and it is the responsibility of all of us to make it even better.
Yogi Adityanath Offers Puja In Gorakhpur
On the occasion of Dussehra, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered puja and prayers at Sri Ram Janki Mandir in Gorakhpur. He applied tilak on the foreheads of actors portraying Ram, Sita and Lakshman and put garlands on them amid the presence of a large number of devotees.
Durga Puja In Full Swing
Durga Puja is being celebrated across the country. In West Bengal and other parts of the country, thousands of pandals have been erected where idols of Devi Durga, Ganesh, Saraswati, and Kartik have been placed and worshipped. The five-day celebration that began with Sashthi will culminate on Dashami when devi and all other idols will be emersed in rivers or ponds. It will be celebrated on October 13.
It is being celebrated as the triumph of Goddess Durga over the shape-shifting demon Mahishasura. Ashtami is observed as the most auspicious day, along with its transition to Navami, the second last day of the festivities. This year, the celebration began with Sashti on October 9, Saptami on October 10, Ashtami on October 11, and Navami on the next day, i.e., October 12. The five-day celebrations will come to an end on Dashami or ‘Bijaya’ with Goddess Durga’s immersion on October 13, Sunday.
