In recent months, Delhi has faced numerous bomb threats targeting schools, museums, and health institutes, yet no explosives have been discovered in the national capital.

On June 12, bomb threat emails were received by two museums — the National Museum and Rail Museum — as well as two mental health institutes, IHBAS (Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences) and VIMHANS (Vidyasagar Institute of Mental Health, Neuro and Allied Sciences).

On May 12, twenty hospitals, the IGI Airport, and the Northern Railways’ CPRO office in Delhi received bomb threats via emails originating from a mailing service company based in Cyprus.

On May 14, seven hospitals in Delhi and Tihar jail received bomb threats from a Cyprus-based mailing service. Later, on May 22, the North Block, home to the Ministry of Home Affairs, received a bomb threat email using a gmail.com domain.
