Drunk Man Arrested for Killing Minor Son By Stuffing Paper Ball In His Mouth

A 59-year-old man killed his nine-year-old son by stuffing a paper ball in his mouth in Maharashtra's Thane district, police said on Wednesday. He was arrested.

A 59-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing his nine-year-old son by stuffing a paper ball into his mouth, police said Wednesday.

The accused was drunk during the incident which took place in the Kasara area of ​​Washala on Monday and Tuesday night, they added, adding that the exact reason behind the crime is not yet known.

The man and his wife lived separately due to domestic disputes and the boy lived with his mother, the police control room said.
The boy went missing from his mother’s home on Monday and family members began searching for him.

The minor was found dead near his father’s house at eight o’clock on Tuesday, the official said.

After being alerted, police rushed to the scene and found a ball of paper stuffed in the boy’s mouth, and his nose was bleeding, he said.

According to the investigation, the man resorted to excessive consumption of alcohol after his wife started living separately, the official said.

He said between Monday and Tuesday he was drunk and allegedly stuffed a ball of torn notebook paper into the boy’s mouth, causing his death.

Following a complaint by a relative of the deceased, the accused was arrested on Tuesday evening and booked under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code, the official said.
