Delhi: A tragic incident unfolded in Jaitpur on November 6 when 31-year-old Krishan Kant allegedly killed his mother, Geeta, due to a belief that she was practicing black magic to hinder his dreams of moving to Canada. The case came to light after Apollo Hospital informed the police that a woman with multiple stab wounds had been brought in deceased.

Incident Details and Investigation

Upon receiving the alert, police rushed to the hospital and subsequently visited the crime scene. Investigations revealed that after the murder, Krishan called his father, Surjeet, urging him to return home. Surjeet, who runs a property business nearby, arrived to find his son waiting outside, who then apologized and led him to the first floor before locking him in and fleeing. Surjeet discovered his wife lying in a pool of blood and, with help from neighbors, rushed her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Background and Motive

The investigation revealed that Krishan was unemployed and had a history of substance abuse. Driven by a desire to move to Canada, he had become convinced that his mother was using black magic to prevent him from achieving this goal. His mother, however, had been urging him to get married, hoping it would stabilize his life. Authorities believe that an argument about marriage escalated, leading to the fatal attack.

Krishan, reportedly frustrated by his circumstances and blaming his mother for his failures, allegedly premeditated the crime by purchasing a knife days earlier.

Family Background

The family consists of Surjeet, his wife Geeta, their elder son Krishan Kant, and younger son Sahil, who works at a bank. Based on Surjeet’s statement, the police have registered a murder case and have arrested Krishan Kant.
