The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has launched internship opportunities for students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in engineering and general sciences. This internship will provide the students with unique opportunities, aims to provide students with hands-on experience and exposure to advanced research in Defense technology.

Selected students will be involved in ongoing research projects at the DRDO Lab, which will cover relevant areas of DRDO. It also offers students to get involved in real time projects and cutting edge research, contributing to the development of technologies crucial for India’s defence capabilities. It will help the interns to gain practical experience.

- Students should reach out to the DRDO Lab/Establishment through their institutes/colleges
- Students can only apply based on their academic discipline
- Interns will only get exposure to unclassified areas of DRDO labs, ensuring security guidelines
- Completion of training does not guarantee employment
- DRDO will not be held liable for injuries or accidents that occur during the period of internship
- The internship period lies between 4 weeks to 6 months
- Internship duration varies based on the course type and the Lab Director’s discretion
How to Apply for DRDO Internship 2025
Students have to identify the DRDO lab or establishment related to their area of study. Afterwards, which you can send applications through the student’s institute or college. They are authorised to send the application to the concerned DRDO laboratory. After submission, upon the discretion of the Lab Director, candidates will be called for further process. It will be completely dependent on the available vacancies.
