Don’t Watch! Debate Sparks On X After Hindu Shopkeeper Thrashed, Assaulted On Bengaluru Street

An unverified video showing that the Hindu shopkeeper in Karnataka was thrashed by a group of 6 Muslim boys in Bengaluru for allegedly playing loud music in his shop during the time of 'Azaan'.

A debate sparked on social media X (formerly Twitter) on Monday over an unverified video showing that a Hindu shopkeeper in Karnataka was thrashed by group of 5 boys near Siddanna Layout, in Bengaluru . The clash broke out as the shopkeeper was allegedly playing loud music during ‘Azaan’ time.

Commenting on the video, a user named The Skin Doctor hailed the shopkeeper’s bravery and said that even being outnumbered, he didn’t yield.

Another user, Nilesh H W (Modi Ka Parivar) claimed that Karnataka’s law and order is in worse condition as a Hindu man is brutally beaten for playing Hanuman Chalisa.

Criticising the Congress led Karnataka government, he wrote that if this happens here imagine what will be the situation of the country if the grand old party comes to power.

While a user, Sumit wrote, “Brave man! Respect”.

Ayeza, another user commented, “Playing Chalisa when azan is going on, he did this on purpose he should be jailed”.

Khalid Siddiqui, an X user wrote, “So Azaan can be loud 5 times a day that’s ok? The irony!”.

Meanwhile, Halasuru Gate police arrested three individuals on Sunday for reportedly assaulting a shopkeeper in Central Bengaluru over playing loud music. The police have identified the accused as Suleman, Shah Nawaz, and Rohit, aged between 20 and 25.

Despite claims circulating on social media suggesting the assault was provoked by the playing of Hanuman Chalisa, investigations by the police found no substantial evidence to support this allegation, and the FIR did not mention it.
