‘Caste census issue is the agenda of the meeting’

Sources say the two leaders might have a discussion on the stampede tragedy, along with the agenda of caste census.  The source said, “ Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar are likely to meet Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi today at Indira Bhawan in Delhi at 11 am. Caste census issue is the agenda of the meeting, the Bengaluru stampede issue can be discussed too.”

While speaking on stampede tragedy, the minister said, “A meeting was held yesterday on the stampede issue. We have to submit a report to the court. We discussed in the meeting what should be conveyed on behalf of the government.”

‘We should not fall prey to Congress’ conspiracy’

Opposition Leader in Karnataka R. Ashok said, “The CM and Deputy CM have gone to Delhi. The people in Delhi (Congress high command) are confused. They say it happened at the cricket stadium, then at Vidhana Soudha… They’re saying there will be a cabinet expansion tomorrow – they’re using it to divert attention from the stampede incident. We should not fall prey to Congress’ conspiracy. Action must be taken against the Chief Minister. The CM and DCM must be replaced. If they haven’t done anything wrong, hand over the case to the CBI. The families of the deceased are saying the government is at fault. KSCA and RCB have said they are not to blame. In the competition to bring in people, tweets were made. RCB should have tweeted why did the CM tweet?”
