Doha-bound IndiGo flight: A Doha-bound IndiGo flight from Delhi on Monday was diverted to the Jinnah International Airport in Pakistan’s Karachi after a passenger died mid-flight. (Doha-bound IndiGo flight)
According to IndiGo Airline authority, the passenger was a native of Nigeria. He was declared brought dead by the airport medical team.
The passenger on IndiGo Airline flight 6E-1736 has fallen ill mid-flight, so the captain contacted Karachi Air Traffic Control and relayed the information about the medical emergency.
Doha-bound IndiGo flight
A Civil Aviation Authority spokesperson in Karachi confirmed that a passenger’s health deteriorated mid-flight on an Indian airline flight from Delhi to Dubai.
The pilot of the IndiGo flight requested an emergency landing due to a medical emergency, which was granted by the Karachi airport’s Air Traffic Controller.

Deceased details
The deceased has been identified as Abdullah (60) was the native of Nigeria. He died before the plane landed. The doctors of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and National Institute of Health, Islamabad (NIH) issued the passengers’ death certificate

IndiGo said in a statement that flight 6E-1736 from Delhi to Doha was diverted to Karachi due to a medical emergency on board. Unfortunately, the airport medical team declared the passenger dead upon arrival.”
“We are deeply saddened by the news and our prayers and wishes are with his family and loved ones. We’re currently making arrangements for transferring the other passengers of the flight, in coordination with the relevant authorities,” IndiGo said in a statement.
