Due to an upper cyclonic circulation looming over southern states, a wet spell is forecasted over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Mahe from October 16 to 22; Lakshadweep, South Interior Karnataka during 16th -19th; Coastal Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema on 16th & 17th; North Interior Karnataka on 16th October.
Thunderstorms To Hit West And East India
In its latest bulletin issued on October 16, the Weather Department has also predicted thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds to hit West and East India. Konkan,. Goa, Madhya Maharashtra will face adverse weather conditions until October 18, while South Odisha and Marathawada will experience severe weather on 16th October.

Delhi’s air quality has sharply dropped ahead of Diwali, with the AQI rising to 245 at 2 pm on Tuesday, October 14. No warning for rain has been issued over the national capital until October 22.
