A partially decomposed body of a man was found in a drinking water tank in Telangana’s Nalgonda town on Monday. Municipal workers spotted the body inside a water tank in Ward 12 of the municipality after opening it for cleaning.

Municipal workers were taken aback when they stumbled upon the body inside a water tank in Ward 12 of the municipality during a routine cleaning operation. The deceased was later identified as a 27-year-old man hailing from the nearby Hanuman Nagar area. Tragically, he had been battling mental health issues and had gone missing since May 24.

According to the preliminary medical report, the man died two or three days ago, and there were also marks of injury on his body. Police said they are investigating the case from various angles, including suicide and murder.

This incident has sparked widespread outrage and fear among the residents of Nalgonda, amplifying calls for stricter oversight and maintenance of public infrastructure.
