Dense fog: A thick layer of fog engulfed the national capital and its near by regions on Monday as the temperature dropped.

The fog reduced visibility in the area, and vehicles were seen driving with their headlights on during the morning hours. Today’s air quality in Delhi was in the’very poor’ category, with an overall AQI of 327.

During Dense fog the AQI in Noida was 399, while the AQI in Gurugram was 302.

The Air Quality Index from 0 to 100 is considered good, while 100 to 200 is considered moderate, 200 to 300 is considered poor, 300 to 400 is considered very poor, and 400 to 500 or higher is considered severe.

Dense fog: Delhi’s air quality

On Sunday, Delhi’s air quality was classified as’very poor’ by the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR).

AQI in different parts of Delhi

The AQI in the Delhi University area was 365, while 293 was recorded near Lodhi Road. The AQI in the vicinity of IIT Delhi was 297, while it was 335 at IGI Airport T3.

On Sunday morning, the air quality in Delhi was classified as ‘very poor,’ with an AQI of 322. The national capital’s air quality, which had been moderate for a few days, dropped over the weekend.
