Dengue in Delhi has begun to pile up this season. Reports have been heard of two deaths due to it. One death came from Lok Nayak Hospital and another from Safdarjung Hospital. Deaths are shocking, with every dengue patient number rising. Delhi has recorded a total of 675 dengue cases from 1 January to 10 September.
The cases mostly surfaced in August, with a total of 103 reported in the Najafgarh area and 84 in the North Shahdara area. Between January 1 and September 10, there have been 260 cases of malaria and 32 cases of chikungunya, reported by Indian Express.
The first death this season from dengue was reported on Sunday. Officials said a 54-year-old man died of dengue at Lok Nayak Hospital last week. Another person collapsed from the disease at Safdarjung Hospital. Even though doctors have recorded that the intensity of infections is low, sharp increases in cases can be expected this monsoon due to the increased rainfall in Delhi. In the last 24 hours, Hospital admitted 15 fresh dengue patients and suspected cases. Since July 1, the total number of patients admitted is 70.
Dengue Deaths Last Year
