Delhi Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory for the full dress rehearsal and flag hoisting at Chhatrasal Stadium, said police on Monday adding that the full-day rehearsal will take place on January 22 and the flag hoisting will occur on January 25.

“On the occasion of Republic Day 2025, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi (Chief Guest) will host the National Flag at the Chhatrasal Stadium on 25th January 2025,” said Delhi Traffic Police in a traffic advisory.
Ministers and government officials will join the function. “It will be a State-level function in which Ministers, MLAs, high dignitaries, and a large number of government officials of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, senior citizens, and school children will participate,” said Delhi Traffic Police in a statement. The statement added that adequate traffic arrangements have been made for this State function.
In this event, around 250 buses and approximately 1,000 light vehicles are expected to arrive, which may cause some congestion around Chhatrasal Stadium. Therefore, commuters are advised to avoid the following roads and take alternate routes on 22nd January (full dress rehearsal) and 25th January 2025, from 6 am to 1 pm, said Traffic Police.
Alternate Routes To Avoid Congestion:
- Inner Ring Road – from IP College to Azadpur Chowk
- GTK Road – from Shakti Nagar to Azadpur Chowk
- Chhatrasal Stadium Road, Gujrawala Town
- Burari Chowk to Vijay Nagar T-Point via Camp Chowk
