Delhi Traffic Alert: Police Issue Guidelines Ahead of VVIP Visit On January 5 – Which Routes To Avoid?

Ahead of the inauguration of several projects by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Delhi Police have issued this traffic advisory.

Delhi Police has issued traffic guidelines for January 5, 2025. This move from the Delhi Poice came as there will be a VVIP visit in East Delhi.

Ahead of the inauguration of several projects by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Delhi Police have issued this traffic advisory.

According to the advisory, “In view of a VVIP visit in East Delhi, traffic movement is expected to be heavy on certain roads. To ensure smooth movement of traffic and avoid inconvenience to the general public, traffic will remain closed or regulated on the following roads.”

Commuters traveling to Ghazipur Road, New Ashok Nagar Metro Station Road, and Noida Link Road, are advised to allocate extra time for their commute, as per the advisory.

Restrictions

There will be traffic restrictions in the following areas on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

  1. NH-9 (Sarai Kale Khan to UP Gate – Both Carriageway)
  2. NH-24 (Sarai Kale Khan to UP Gate – Both Carriageway)
  3. Ghazipur Road (Kondli to Noida Link Road)
  4. New Ashok Nagar Metro Station Road (Sarpanch Chowk to Holiday Inn Red Light)
  5. Ghazipur Nala Road (Kondli to New Ashok Nagar Metro Station)
  6. Chilla Border to New Ashok Nagar Metro Station
  7. Noida Link Road (Chilla Border to Akshardham Mandir)
