Traffic Advisory: Famous Ganpati Puja Mahotsav of Mumbai-based Lal Bagh Ka Raja Trust has come to Delhi. The place this time is near Nirankari Samagam in Burari. Along with the Ganpati Puja, Dhirendra Shastri Maharaj, from Baba Bageshwar Dham, is performing a Hanuman Katha that will go on till September 11. Acharya Shri Aniruddhacharya Ji will perform Shri Ram Katha between September 12 and 17.

Changes In Traffic Due To Festival

Traffic in Delhi is predict to take a hit in view of the festival. The Delhi Traffic Police have issued an advisory to help manage the crowds. No vehicle would be allowed to stop or park on these main roads:

1. Mukundpur Chowk to Azadpur Chowk on Arihant Marg
2. Burari Chowk to Mukundpur Chowk on Outer Ring Road
3. Shanti Swaroop Tyagi Marg to Bhai Parmanand Marg

Roads To Avoid

To avoid traffic congestion, do not take the following routes:

Shanti Swaroop Tyagi Marg and Bhai Parmanand Marg
Outer Ring Road
Arihant Marg
Shah Alam Dam Road

Delhi Police, meanwhile, recommended using public transport and factoring in extra travel time if one was headed towards the airport or train stations. They also called for patience during this busy time.

Security Measures

Nearly 3,000 police personnel have been deployed for the event’s security at the DDA Ground in Burari, where the Hanuman Katha is being held. Officers from Outer, North-West, and Outer-Northern districts are posted in and around the area to ensure the smooth going of proceedings.

Delhi-Meerut Expressway: Repair Work Of Flyover Starts

Repair work has started on a flyover near Pandav Nagar on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. NHAI started repairing the deck of the flyover on Sunday and this is likely to disturb the flow of traffic for about a week. For the time being, when the repair work would be in full swing, there is a possibility of congestion in the lane going towards Sarai Kale Khan, particularly during peak hours.

Traffic Police Issues Advisory To Avoid Congestion

The repair, according to the traffic police, is being carried out at the flyover above the Mother Dairy Road affecting the central lane of the highway. Congestion and delays are going to result for people who are going to travel via this route. In view of this jam police have recommended taking NH-24 route instead of NH-9 to avoid congestion till the time work gets over.
