Delhi: Punjabi Bagh Flyover Set To Open Soon, Initially With Two Operational Lanes

The length of the flyover is 1.3-km and it is built between ESI metro station and Punjabi Bagh Club Road.

The Punjabi Bagh flyover is to open for the public after December 20, 2024. The flyover connects Delhi, Gurugram and Delhi-NCR.

The PWD officials mentioned that, the construction of the flyover is nearly finished. The PWD had planned to open only two lanes from one side due to the absence of clearance from the Delhi High Court and presence of trees and plants on the divider between the Raja Garden and ESI hospital, as per media reports

The officials said that the 18-km route connecting Dhaula Kuan and Azadpur will be get green signal once the Punjabi Bagh flyover gets open to the public, as per media reports.

About The Project

The length of the flyover is 1.3-km and it is built between ESI metro station and Punjabi Bagh Club Road. The project is the key component of major corridor development plan of Delhi. Initially the project was supposed to be finished in January 2024, but the deadline for this project got shifted to April and later to Delhi.

Benefits From The Project

The development of the flyover will enhance the connectivity between Delhi, Gurugram and Delhi-NCR. This flyover will solve the traffic related issue.
