New Delhi: The Delhi Police has sought details from Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s statement regarding the victims of sexual harrasment whom the latter mentioned about during the “Bharat Jodo Yatra”.
“Police took cognizance of the social media posts and sent a list of questionnaires,” said the Delhi Police.

The Delhi Police cited that they are in need of the details of these deceased so they can provide them security.

During the Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi had mentioned that he met several victims of domestic violence along the way. He said that several women approached him saying that there partners beat them.
“In one particular case I asked a girl, she had been raped, I asked her should we call the police, she said that don’t call the police then I will be shamed,” said the Congress MP during the Congress’ footmarch in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar.
