Gurugram violence: Delhi is on high alert after the clashes broke out in Gurugram. The Delhi Police on Wednesday stepped up security after an alert was sounded amid the communal violence in Gurugram and adjoining areas in Haryana.
Shops, Shanties, offices and schools were closed in Gurugram in view of violence. Shops and shacks were set on fire on Tuesday night. Authorities has imposed prohibitory orders across the city, including a ban on the sale of petrol and diesel.
The clashes broke out on Monday in different parts of Gurugram. The school, collages, offices and shops were closed to bring the situation back to normalcy. Five people have died in clashes, including two home guards who were shot dead in a clash.

Meanwhile, Gurugram Police urged to all netizens to avoid all the rumours regarding the violence. ACP Varun Dahiya assured people that the police are with the people for their safety. He provided helpline number to report any incident.
“All schools, colleges and workplaces are functioning normally. There are no restrictions on the movement of traffic. The internet is also operational. I appeal to all to not pay heed to rumours on social media. If anyone wants to report any information, they can reach helpline number ‘112’, “says ACP Varun Dahiya (Crime), Gurugram.
The security has been beefed up in the nearby regions of Nuh – Faridabad, Palwal, and Gurugram – in view of the clashes.
