The Air Quality Index (AQI) continues to swing between the ‘severe’ and ‘severe plus’ categories. On Wednesday (December 24), the overall AQI stood at 366 at 5 am, with several pollution hotspots crossing the 400 mark. At the same time, dense fog has covered the city as winter deepens. Delhi recorded a morning temperature of 9°C, expected to increase slightly during the day.

Low visibility caused by fog and smog has disrupted flight operations, leading the Delhi Airport to issue a travel advisory for passengers flying today.
