Air India has warned passengers of possible flight disruptions in the coming days due to dense fog, especially at its main hub in Delhi and several airports across northern and eastern India. The airline highlighted that reduced visibility could result in delays or cancellations, potentially affecting its entire flight network.
Delhi-NCR AQI LIVE: Delhi’s Air Quality Index frequently falls in the very poor to severe category, prompting the government to implement the “No PUC, No Petrol” rule to control vehicular pollution. Under this policy, vehicles without a valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate are denied fuel.
To obtain a PUC certificate, vehicle owners must visit an authorised emission testing centre, usually located at petrol pumps or approved booths, where their vehicle’s emissions are checked. The process takes only a few minutes and measures pollutants such as carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons. If the vehicle meets the prescribed norms, the PUC certificate is issued immediately and uploaded to the VAHAN database.
