As air quality worsened, the Delhi government implemented GRAP-IV restrictions earlier this month after the average AQI surpassed 400. Consequently, all measures outlined under GRAP-IV were enforced immediately.
Delhi AQI LIVE: Delhi has been experiencing toxic air for several days, and while the air quality showed slight improvement on Monday, December 22, it still remained in the “very poor” category. According to the Sameer app, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in the national capital stood at 365 at 5:05 am.
Four monitoring stations recorded “severe” air quality levels with AQI readings above 400. Only Aya Nagar reported “poor” air quality with an AQI of 299, while most other stations across the city continued to fall in the “very poor” category.
For several days, flights at Delhi Airport have been disrupted, with over 50 flights cancelled or delayed daily due to low visibility caused by smog and dense fog across the city.
