Delhi-NCR residents found relief as light rain cooled the temperature after a month of suffering from intense heat. However, the situation didn’t turn any better until Friday when the wind blew, easing the humidity. The Meteorological Department forecasts cloudy weather and occasional light rain in Delhi today. Yesterday’s pleasant weather kept Delhi’s maximum temperature around 38 degrees.
Saturday is expected to remain cloudy with rain, thunderstorms are also possible. The Meteorological Department attributes a 6-degree drop in the maximum temperature and an 8-degree drop in the minimum temperature to the drizzle in Delhi.

Today, Delhi will experience a maximum temperature of 44 degrees celsius. Similarly, Noida-Ghaziabad, Patna, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad will also have temperatures around 44 to 45 degrees celsius. Lucknow will reach 45 degrees celsius, while Bhopal will have a temperature of 35 degrees celsius. Mumbai is expected to be cooler at 32 degrees celsius, and Jammu around 41 degrees celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, on June 21st, there is a chance of rain in parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Additionally, some areas of Gujarat, Goa, and Maharashtra may also experience rain.
However, many districts of western Uttar Pradesh may experience severe heat waves today. Additionally, heat waves are expected in several areas of Haryana, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.
