Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Shocker: Bodies Scattered, 7 Dead After Van Hits Sanitation Workers At High Speed

Four people suffered serious injuries and and admitted to Safdarjung Hospital.

Seven people, including six women, died on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The accident took place on Saturday morning when the multi-utility van hit them at high speed. Apart from this, four people suffered serious injuries and and admitted to Safdarjung Hospital, as per media reports.

All individuals have been identified as sanitation workers by police. According to the official, the victims stopped after cleaning the road when the van hit them. According to police, the incident took place around 10 am on Saturday.

The incident came to light when locals heard the cry of people from the location. Locals reached the spot after hearing the loud distress calls to discover human bodies laid across the road.

Social worker Ansar Khan from Ibrahimvas village witnessed the whole incident. The noises emerged from his adjacent fields according to him. He went to the spot and found people lying on the road, as reported by the Times of India.

According to him, the sight was enough to terrify anyone. The people who were at the incident’s location right away contacted emergency services. The tragic accident resulted in severe traffic congestion along the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway for those who traveled through it. Deputy Commissioner Vishram Meena, along with SP Rajesh Kumar, came to the accident site to extend their sympathy to the family members of the victims.
