A new section of the Delhi-Mumbai expressway has been opened to the public by the National Highway Authority of India. This new section which is now open to the public solves the problem of congestion on streets.
About The Stretch
The total length of this stretch is 80 km. It became functional for the public on Monday, December 16, 2024. It just enhances the connectivity between various cities, towns and villages. The stretch boosts the connectivity between Kota and Bundi. This section of the expressway crosses Kota and Bundi.
The expressways solve the problem related to time. The 80 km long route can be covered in 50 minutes. It also solves the problems related to traffic.
Out of a total 373-kilometer route under construction in Rajasthan, a portion of 327 km is now operational and open to the public. The expressway which is moving towards Mumbai is open now and the route in Delhi is also operational. But the direct route that will connect Kota and Delhi, is likely to get operational in next two months. In the starting two months of the upcoming year this route is likely to get functional.
As quoted by Times of India, NHAI official stated that, “Construction of the transport corridor was completed on most stretches. However, until the interchanges are constructed, these sections cannot be opened for traffic.”
