India which is having many expressways and highways, is getting improvement in connectivity with its new infrastructural projects. One such project is the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. This will link Mumbai with the national capital. It will boost connectivity and cut the travel time.
The completion of this project is likely to take 2 more years due to the delay in construction on around 6 sections of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Project, especially the 3 stretches in Gujarat with 87-Km length.
Out of these one stretch is having no physical progress. On the other nd the two others have around 7% and 35% progress.
The total length of this expressway 1,382-Km. This expressway project is divided into small packages. As reported by Times of India, MoS, Harsh Malhotra said that the project will be ready by 2026. He mentioned the technical and logistical challenges.
The project connecting two big cities, Delhi and Mumbai was supposed to be completed in January 2023, but it got delayed due to some technical issues, as per media reports.
According to sources, the 35-Km route in Gujarat will be ready by February 2027, as per media reports.
The route will pass through Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra once completed.
