Delhi Minister Sirsa issues BIG warning to private offices, factories violating anti-pollution curbs, says, ‘We are going to initiate…’

On Monday, Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa announced strict action against polluting units and non-compliant establishments across Delhi.

Addressing a press conference on pollution, Sirsa said, “Since yesterday, Delhi has been affected by western disturbances, and due to that still not good in Delhi. We have got good results after the bans. 212,332 PUCCs have been done since the 16th. 10,000 PUCCs have failed.”

“We will take action against those who will flout the order. All deputy commissioners, along with the DPCC, will start sealing unauthorized, illegal industries. Whether it’s polluting or not polluting, we will take action,” he said.

On the city’s air quality, Sirsa said, “We have got to know that AQI will improve in two days from now. Water is being sprinkled on roads in Delhi.”

Highlighting environmental initiatives, he said, “We are working for the revival of various water bodies… we will revive the water bodies that have become extinct in the past many years. We will remove encroachment in this regard. These water bodies will help us combat pollution.”

Sirsa also targeted the AAP government, alleging irregularities in the handling of city issues. “There is a scam done by AAP in ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition). We will investigate,” he said.
