The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has launched a new bike taxi service to enhance last-mile connectivity for metro users. This service includes two bike taxi options: RYDR, available for all commuters, and a unique female-specific service called SheRides (SHERYDS), which features women drivers and focuses on safety and convenience for female passengers.

Booking Through DMRC Momentum App with GPS Monitoring

Commuters can book these bike taxis through DMRC’s mobile app, DMRC Momentum (Delhi Sarathi 2.0). The GPS-enabled service ensures real-time monitoring to enhance passenger safety. The service was officially launched by DMRC’s Managing Director, Dr. Vikas Kumar.

Eco-Friendly and Efficient Transport Solution

These bike taxis are electric, providing an eco-friendly alternative that helps reduce carbon emissions. RYDR optimises routes for quicker commutes, while the service zones limit the bike’s radius, ensuring efficient travel times and enhanced safety for passengers.

Empowering Women with “SheRides” Service

The SheRides service is designed to provide both convenience and income opportunities for women riders. DMRC’s Principal Executive Director (Corporate Communication), Anuj Dayal, highlighted that all drivers are trained and vetted, with a strong focus on safety and reliability for commuters.
