The heavy rain Friday morning in the Delhi-NCR region completely stalled traffic movement on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway due to severe waterlogging. Employees taking public transportation faced delays and long seconds of sitting in traffic on major routes. There was slow-moving traffic at several points in Noida and Delhi.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) put out a yellow alert for Noida, Ghaziabad and some regions of the National Capital on Friday.
A barrier was reported near Pandav Nagar on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. Severe traffic congestion was also reported on Anand Vihar Road and Ghazipur Road.
As the Greater Noida rain poured down a jam was experienced on NH-34 near Chhapraula. Waterlogging was also reported in multiple regions.
The IMD is claiming the monsoon is presently active across the whole of India. They have forecast light to moderate rain as well light thunderstorms and lightning over the Delhi-NCR today.

Delhi’s maximum temperature is expected to reach approximately 30 degrees Celsius meanwhile the minimum temperature is forecast to shoot up to around 23.5 degrees Celsius.
