Polling for the MCD by-elections was held on November 30 across 580 booths to fill 12 vacant seats. These vacancies arose after 11 councillors were elected to the Delhi Assembly and one to Parliament. The Shalimar Bagh-B ward was among them, vacated by CM Rekha Gupta herself.
Voter turnout differed across wards, with Chandni Mahal recording the highest at 55.93%, and Greater Kailash the lowest at 26.76%. The overall turnout stood at 38.51%, showing moderate public participation.
