Meanwhile, The Enforcement Directorate plans to request a 7-day extension of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s custody for additional questioning in the money laundering case related to the revoked liquor policy. Citing Kejriwal’s alleged lack of cooperation during the investigation, the ED aims to justify the extension. Kejriwal, arrested by the ED last week, will appear in the Rouse Avenue court as his custody concludes on Thursday.
The ED will seek an extension of the AAP supremo’s custody to confront him with extensive documents retrieved during investigations. They intend to confront Kejriwal with statements from other accused and inquire about kickbacks reception and the utilization of proceeds of crime, which have not been addressed yet.
