Covid emergency meet: The Delhi government on Thursday called an emergency meet over the alarming rise of Covid cases in Capital. The meet will be organised to discuss covid strategy.

New Covid cases jumped to 300 on Wednesday for the first time since August 31, 2022. According to the health minister data, the covid positivity rate reached to 13.9 Per cent.

Delhi Heath Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj has called an emergency meet with speacialist doctors, health department officials and directors of the hospitals on rising Covid cases,

It is to inform that the daily Covid cases count in the city was dropped to zero on January 16. It occured for the first time after the outbraek of Coronavirus in the year 2020. However, Delhi has registered continuos rise in cases for the last several days.

Besides Covid, there is sharp rise in H3N2 influenza cases across the country.

Delhi’s total Covid positive cases reached at 20.09,361 with the addition of 300 more new cases while death toll climbed to 26,526 on Thursday. According to the health ministry data, 54 of the 7,986 bed are occupied in the Covid-19 dedicated hospital in the city. whereas 452 patients are in home isolation
