Delhi Elections 2025: From New Voter Registration, Name Corrections To Lost IDs And More; Here’s How These Election Apps Will Help You!

Election Commission Apps

The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the poll dates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections on January 7, 2025. The votes will be counted, and the results will be declared on February 8. Elections will also be held in other states across the country this year.

Voters can directly access election-related information from the ECI portals which offer a user-friendly interface allowing citizens to submit their forms with simple steps. Through the available portals and app, users can complete the entire process from login to registration within minutes.

In an X post, the Election Commission highlighted three applications designed for citizens to provide information related to polls. While cVIGIL app allows citizens to report any Model Code Of Conduct (MCC) violations directly to the EC, the other two portals/Apps Voter Helpline App, and Suvidha Portal cater to candidates participating in the elections.

Voter Helpline App

The key features of the Voter Helpline App (VHA) are:

  1. Search name in the electoral roll
  2. Register or modify voter registration
  3. Download digital photo voter slip
  4. File complaints
  5. Get election-related news and updates

cVIGIL App 

The key features of the cVIGIL app are:

  1. Report violations of the MCC
  2. Allows to Participate in the electoral process
  3. Uses GPS to track the location of the violation
  4. Allows users to capture live incidents only
  5. Tracks the complaint progress

Steps to report violation with cVIGIL app:

  1. Download the app from Google or Apple Play Store
  2. Create an account
  3. Select the type of violation you want to report
  4. Provide details of the incident (location, time, photographs, videos)
  5. Submit your complaint
  6. Track the complaint progress in the app

Suvidha Portal

Suvidha Portal is a web-based application that allows candidates and political parties to create a profile with their phone number and submit permission requests through online mode.
