New Delhi: The Rouse Avenue Court on Monday extended the remand period of former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia for 14 days in the new Delhi Liquor excise Policy case. Now Sisodia will have to remain in CBI custody till 3 April. The court will hear his bail plea on Tuesday.
On Friday, the Rouse Avenue Court had given Sisodia’s remand to the ED until March 22. The ED told the court that Sisodia had changed his phone when the CBI filed FIR, but the agency retrieved his mobile data.

In the court, Sisodia’s lawyer argued that the ED has not mentioned any crime against the former deputy CM. What is the need for ED to inquire when CBI is already inquiring into the matter? Sisodia told the court that, during the last 7 Days of custody, CBI had questioned him for only one hour daily. He was questioned for a few hours only on Thursday.
CBI had arrested former Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia in connection with alleged irregularities in forming a new liquor policy, and since then he is jail.
