New Delhi: The Rouse Avenue court of Delhi allowed interim bail of 2 days to Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in a case relating to sexual assault.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Harjeet Singh Jaspal also directed the accused to furnish bail bonds of Rs 25,000. The next hearing on his regular bail plea will be heard from July 20, 2023.
The court also granted bail to another accused and suspended assistant secretary of WFI Vinod Tomar.

Meanwhile, the women wrestlers raised questions over the motive of the oversight panel, which carried out a probe in the sexual harassment charges levelled against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. They accused the panel of being biased towards him.
Earlier the central government had formed a panel having six members in total including legendary Indian boxer MC Mary Kom as the leader.
