The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the terrorist module behind the Delhi blasts, made these major revelations. According to reports, Dr Muzammil Shakeel, an arrested surgeon from Al Falah University, had rented houses not only in Faridabad’s Fatehpur Taga and Dhauj but also in Khori Jamalpur village in Haryana.

How did he become friendly with the landlord and neighbours?

He rented a three-bedroom house with a kitchen and hall from former Sarpanch Jumma, claiming he would use it to trade Kashmiri fruits. Muzammil visited the house several times with Dr Shaheen Saeed. The second revelation concerns ammonium nitrate. Investigations have shown that the terrorist module initially stored explosives near the university before moving them to Fatehpura Taga and Dhauj.

Explosives stored here for 12 days

The NIA has found that approximately 2540 kg of explosives were stored in a room in the fields adjacent to Al Falah University for approximately 12 days. Fearing theft or discovery, they were then moved to Imam Ishtiaq’s old house in Fatehpura Taga village, according to the reports. The agency has found out that the same explosives were used in the Delhi blast. On Monday night, the NIA brought Dr Muzammil for identification. Former village Sarpanch Jumma identified him.

More Revelations by former Sarpanch Juma

Jumma, who met Muzammil and Umar during his nephew’s treatment, told the NIA that he did not know Muzammil beforehand. His nephew, who was suffering from cancer, had gone to Al-Falah Hospital, where he met Dr. Muzammil and also Dr. Umar Nabi. Jumma remained in frequent contact with Muzammil during his nephew’s treatment, which allowed them to become better acquainted. His nephew passed away in July. Jumma also revealed that Muzammil visited his office several times.
