During the budget presentation, a budget allocation of Rs 2000 crore was earmarked for the scheme. Atishi, while unveiling the plan, expressed that the monthly honorarium would empower women and contribute to their well-being. She highlighted that Chief Minister Kejriwal initiated this scheme as a gesture of being a responsible elder brother to the women of Delhi.
