Buoyed by the success of assembly elections held in Haryana and Maharashtra, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has chalked out its strategy to help the BJP win the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025.

Its cadres are expected to take to the streets to hold meetings and demonstrations across the state and mobilise the voters in favour of its alleged political wing.

The RSS is also most likely to rake up the pro-Hindutva, emotive and divisive issues like illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators and Rohingyas to polarise the votes before the polls.

Why Does BJP Need RSS?

It was the Hindutva outfit that swung into action before the assembly elections in Haryana when most of the BJP leaders had accepted that it would be an uphill task to beat the anti-incumbency in the state, where the saffron party was already divided from within.

After the RSS threw its weight behind the BJP, the party won 48 seats in the 90-member Haryana assembly and made history by returning to power for the third time.

Similarly, the saffron party won 132 seats in the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly Elections and returned to power for the third time with the help of Mahayuti coalition partners.

RSS and its Hindutva politics played important roles in these elections too.

RSS Strategy For Delhi Assembly Elections 2025?

Now the top echelons of the Hindutva outfit are active once again with plans to help the BJP will the Delhi Elections.

If media reports are to be believed, 100 RSS volunteers will soon hold meetings with professionals and social media influencers in the next few days. This will be just the beginning of its campaign.

In the next phase, the RSS will take the help of its affiliated outfits. While members of Laghu Udyog Bharati, representing small, micro and medium entrepreneurs, will meet traders and small entrepreneurs in the city, the women from the Sevika Samiti will meet women voters and discuss their problems.

RSS To Counter AAP

It is important because Arvind Kejriwal has developed a following among women, who vote for the Aam Aadmi Party. Similarly known as the party of the businessmen and the shopkeepers, the BJP will try to get connected to them.

The volunteers from the Seva Samiti will go to slum areas of the JJ Colony as the AAP has made deep inroads into these areas and the people vote for the party.

Illegal Bangladeshi Immigrants

The saffron party has already raked up the issue of alleged illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in Delhi. The party has accused the AAP and the Congress of helping the immigrants for vote bank politics.

It has also apprehended that the unchecked influx may disturb the demographic balance of the national capital.

BJP candidate Parvesh Verma has gone to the extent of saying, “Once these illegal immigrants set up makeshift tenements, the AAP volunteers assist them in getting settled there.” He also admitted these people don’t vote for the BJP.

Rohingyas

Rohingyas are also an important issue in Delhi and the BJP may use it to whip the AAP. Delhi CM Atishi and Union Minister Hardeep Puri got involved in a political slugfest after the AAP leader wrote a letter to the minister.

Atishi accused the Union government of resettling the Rohingya refugees in Delhi without even informing the Delhi government. She also demanded that a full list of these persons be given to the Delhi government, L-G and the police.

Hardeep Puri hit back by accusing the AAP of continuing to “play its politics of diversion, false narratives and half-truths”.

Political analysts believe, the saffron party may raise other Hindutva issues as it did in Haryana and Maharashtra, where the BJP raised the slogan of “Batenge Toh Katenge”. This slogan was repeated in Maharashtra as well.
