Delhi Police on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday arrested three members of the Hashim Baba gang following an encounter near Ambedkar College in Northeast Delhi. The three accused were injuring during the exchange of gunfire, while two police officials also sustained injuries. All the accused have been admitted to the hospital.
The police have identified the three accused as Asif alias Khalid, Alsejan alias Thotha, and Ali alias Fahadh.

The three accused were arrested for their alleged connection with the shooting incident which took place on March 9, in which one person was killed and the other was injured.

The deceased was identified as Arbaaz.

According to the Joy Tirkey, North East DCP, “We received information regarding the movement iof the people who were allegedly involved in the shooting incident which took place in Seelampur area on March 99 in which one person name Arbaaz was killed and the other was injured. After this, a QRT was dispatched for the spot.”
“Today’s encounter took place nearly at 1:30 am when the police tried to stop the accused but in exchange they open fired. Around 23-24 rounds of bullet were fired from both sides following which the all the three accused were injured. They have been identified and all of the have prior cases registered on their name.”, North East DCP said.
“The intent behind the Seelampur incident is still not clear yet. We have registered case of murder and attempt to murder in the name of the accused”, he added.
