New Delhi: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday promised students of sending their hand-made rakhis to Indian soldiers on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan for guarding the nation.

“As the Defence Minister of the country, I assure you that I myself will provide these rakhis to the three service chiefs so that they can reach the jawans of all three services,” said the Defence Minister.

Earlier in the day, the union minster received a number of Rakhis from students of various schools. The students made the rakhis for the soldiers.

The students made the rakhi for the soldiers for taking care of the borders.
