Deepotsav 2022 Ayodhya: When more than 15.76 lakh earthen lamps were lit at the “Ram ki Paidi” during the Yogi government’s Deepotsav celebrations in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya on the eve of Diwali, a new Guinness World Record for the “biggest display of oil lights” was established.
In the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the record was made. This historic event was seen by thousands of followers, members of the public, and dignitaries. The record was largely produced with help from Awadh University, Ayodhya’s faculty and students. As soon as the PM declared the festival to be open, more than 15.76 lakh clay lamps were lit one by one while people chanted “Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram.”
